Scott Richard Wilkinson, age 51 of Pleasant Hill, MO formerly of Randolph, died Wednesday September 14, 2016 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO. He was born February 5, 1965 at Osmond, Nebraska the son of Richard and Wilma (Cunningham) Wilkinson. He graduated from Randolph High School at Randolph, Nebraska in 1983. Scott graduated from Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and graduated with a Masters degree in Athletic Administration from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.

On August 15, 1992 Scott married Valerie McDonald at St. John's Lutheran Church in Randolph. They were blessed with 2 children Rylie and Blake.
Scott began his career in teaching and coaching at Iowa Central Community College at Fort Dodge, Iowa under the supervision of Vern Thompson. He taught Industrial Technology and coached high school football and track at Central High School and later coached football at Benton High School both in St. Joseph, MO. He coached football at Savannah High School at Savannah, MO; Scott taught and coached at West Platte High School in Weston, MO; the last 4 years Scott was teaching at Lee's Summit High School and Pleasant Lea Middle School where he also coached middle school football and was assistant coach at Lee's Summit High in football and Head Coach for girls track. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and paid particular attention throughout his life to what he called the 3 F's... family, friends and FOOTBALL.

Surviving Scott are his 2 children Rylie Wilkinson of Marysville, MO; Blake Wilkinson of St. Joseph, MO; his mother Wilma Wiemers of Laurel, NE; 8 Stepbrothers and Stepsisters Sandy and Keith Truman of St. Helena, NE; Peg Benck of Emerson, NE; Dennis Tuttle of Emerson, NE; Dave and Myrna Tuttle of Laurel; Judy and Greg Thousand of McCook Lake, SD; Jerry Wiemers of Laurel; Gary and Taryn Wiemers of Dixon; Cheri and Brad Chapman of Laurel; many step nieces, step nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father Dick; sister Brenda; Step Father Fred Wiemers; Maternal Grandparents William and Nina Cunningham; Paternal Grandmother Emma Wilkinson.
