Nila Sue Dickes, age 63 of Randolph, died Monday June 13, 2016 surrounded by her family at Colonial Manor of Randolph. She was born on October 17, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of William and Sylvia (Lippold) Coenen. She graduated from St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic High School in 1970 and graduated Norfolk Junior College in Norfolk with a Secretarial degree.

On August 28, 1971 Nila married James Dickes at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph. She worked as a Secretary at Sisters Hospital in Norfolk; at Nash-Finch in Norfolk; at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond; Dr. Billerbeck's Medical Office in Randolph and Dr. Dahl's Dental Office as a Dental Assistant in Laurel.

Nila was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph; Christian Mothers; P.C.C.W.; she enjoyed playing softball with Osmond General Hospital's softball team. Her hobbies include reading, crossword puzzles, painting of pottery, seeing her grandchildren, traveling with her husband around the western United States.

Nila is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Dickes of Randolph; 2 Daughters Mindy and James Valleley of Omaha; Angie and Scott Burtch of Glenwood, IA; 5 Grandchildren; 1 Brother Rick Coenen and his friend Mary Durham of Wahoo, NE.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
