Edna M. (Hansen) Reimer, age 90 of Stanton, died Monday August 24, 2009 at Stanton Health Center in Stanton. She was born February 20, 1919 at Stanton, Nebraska the daughter of William and Ella (Matz) Hansen. Edna was baptized at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church at Wisner on April 30, 1922 and confirmed at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Stanton. She attended Stanton County District # 10; District #35 and Bega District #12 and Graduated from Stanton High School.

Edna married Arthur Reimer on June 22, 1967 at Papillion, NE. She worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a cook on the rail line and later worked as a Beauty Operator in her home in Omaha for a number of years until retiring in 1969. Edna was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Stanton. In October 2003 she entered the Stanton Health Center in Stanton.

Edna's survivors include her sister Lillian and Edmund Sondergaard of Grand Island; 2 Brothers William Hansen, Jr. of West Point; Duane and Lois Hansen of Stanton and many nieces and nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur on December 13, 1992; 3 sisters Katherine Wetjen, Irene Rabbass and Serena Hansen, in infancy; and 2 brothers, Lindy Hansen, Sr. and Rasmus Hansen, in infancy; 2 nephews Edmund Sondergaard and John Rabbass.
