Violet M. Lange, age 82 of Hoskins, died Friday January 30, 2009 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Randolph. She was born April 3, 1926 at Belden, Nebraska the daughter of Otto and Mary (Weis) Pflanz. She graduated from Belden High School in 1942.
Violet married Ron Lange on February 1, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Belden. The family farmed near Hoskins for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk and a member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Altar Society. She entered Colonial Manor of Randolph in June 2007.
Violet's family and grandchildren were her joy.
Violet is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ron Lange of Hoskins; her 5 children Tom and Leslie Lange of Greeley, CO; Rick and Becky Lange and their children Cody, Casey and Levi Lange of Hoskins; Jana and Doug Jenkins and their children Shawn and Jaci Jenkins of Carroll; Mike and Jean Lange and their children Courtney Rogers and Katie Lange of Upland, CA; Mary Kay and Jerry Anderson and their children Kyle, Ashley and Tyler Anderson of Norfolk and 2 Brothers Richard and Dee Pflanz of Norfolk and Gaylord Pflanz of Belden.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Roman Pflanz and 1 sister Delores Frink.

Interment: St. Frances Catholic Cemetery – Randolph, NE
Minister: Rev. John Andrews
Visitation: 4-8 P.M. with a 7:30 P.M. Rosary all Sunday at Johnson-Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk; Johnson Funeral Home – Randolph in charge of arrangements.
