James Paul "Pat" Kaiser, age 80 of Randolph, died on Tuesday December 30, 2008 at Colonial Manor of Randolph. He was born January 1, 1928 at Randolph, Nebraska the son of Tony M. and Alvina (Brunsmann) Kaiser. He graduated from St. Frances High School in Randolph, as Salutatorian of the class of 1945. He attended Creighton University in Omaha for one year and enlisted in the United States Army. After his discharge, he rejoined his father in the produce business. After the death of his father in January 1948, he and his brother, Gene, formed a partnership, Kaiser Bros. Produce, which they operated until January 1, 1982. During these years they bought cream, eggs and poultry. They also sold Purina Feeds and ran a mobile grinding service for 19 years. On January 4, 1982, Pat was hired as custodian of the Randolph East School and he drove a school bus for many years. Pat was a volunteer fireman for almost 30 years, a member of St. Frances Catholic Church, he was a member of St. Frances Church Choir for 61 years and a member of American Legion Post #113 of Randolph.

Pat married Elvera Winkelbauer on May 17, 1948 at St. Frances Catholic Church in Randolph.

Pat is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elvera Kaiser of Randolph; three sons Doug and Roxann Kaiser of Mound, MN; Pat Kaiser and friend Donna Whitmore of Randolph; Mark and Kathy Kaiser of Omaha; two daughters Jan and Lenny Butterfield of Norfolk; Nancy and Bruce Lindquist of Humboldt, IA; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 brother Gene and Teresa Kaiser of Randolph.

Pat is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Muril, Russell, Marc and Francis.

Military Rites: V.F.W. Alvin Kessler Post #5545 and American Legion Post #113 of Randolph
Minister: Rev. John Andrews
Visitation: 5 - 8 P.M. and 7 P.M. Rosary all Friday at St. Frances Catholic Church in Randolph - Johnson Funeral Home – Randolph in charge of arrangements.
