71 of Randolph, Nebraska died Friday December 5, 2008 at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond, NE. She was born January 4, 1937 in Concord, Nebraska to Cecil and Vandelyn (Nelson) Clark. Karen graduated from Concord High School in 1954. After graduation, she attended Wayne State College and later taught rural elementary school in Dixon County.
On August 12, 1956, she married Neil Kluver at Concordia Lutheran Church in Concord, Nebraska.
Karen was devoted to raising her children and was a stay at home mother. After her children left home, she especially enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, and entertaining grandchildren. Her husband was a school administrator and is currently Mayor of Randolph. Karen was active in community events and generous to many charitable causes.
Karen entered the hospital on Thanksgiving Day, was diagnosed with cancer and succumbed to the illness one week later.
Karen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Neil Kluver of Randolph; Three daughters, Lisa and Doug Wattier of Norfolk; Jan Adele Meyer and friend Khris, of Asbury Park, New Jersey; and Marcy and Mike Brown of Norfolk; one sister, Dona and Jack Cain of Tigard, Oregon; and four grandchildren Vandy and Ian Meyer and Chelsea and Seth Brown.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sally, in 1983.
