George M. Spader, age 81 of Norfolk, died Saturday May 29, 2010 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. He was born May 2, 1929 at Randolph, Nebraska the son of John and Martha (Gubbels) Spader. He attended Randolph area rural school and farmed near Randolph for 30 years until he retired from farming in 1973. He continued living in Randolph for a time and later moved to Norfolk.
George married Arlyce Cook on April 8, 1989 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. He was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk; Past member of St. Frances Catholic Church in Randolph and member of Catholic Order of Foresters of Randolph.
George is survived by his wife of 21 years, Arlyce Spader of Norfolk; 3 brothers Tom and Joan Spader of Fremont, OH; Father Bob Spader of Los Angeles, CA; Mel and Elaine Spader of Randolph; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Louise Eicke, Sally Brickley, Bernice Campbell; 3 brothers Edward, Fred and Alvin Spader.
